چکیده
Background: In animal studies, minocycline (Mcy) has been proven to have antidepressant effects. addition modulating peripheral and central pro-inflammatory pathways, Mcy may regulate the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathway. This study aims evaluate antidepressant-like effect in mice following injection dexamethasone (Dex) or cyclosporine-A (CsA). Methods: Male NMRI were randomly divided into eight groups 6, including control, Dex 0.25 mg/kg, CsA 20 40 Dex+Mcy, Dex+fluoxetine CsA+Mcy, CsA+fluoxetine. All drugs injected intraperitoneally (except for Dex, which was subcutaneous injection) once daily 3 days. The locomotor activity, forced swimming test (FST), sucrose preference (SP) performed on day 4. Results: alone reduced immobility time FST (27.0±6.4 s) compared control group (104±3.9 (P<0.001). After co-administration significantly decreased (79.5±6.5 It also (67.5±20.8 Results similar treated with fluoxetine plus CsA. Significant differences not observed activity test. Conclusion: prevents depression-like behavior during when it is co-administrated Dex. possibility positive HPA mTOR pathway should be examined further studies.

Evaluation of cyclosporine A eye penetration after administration of liposomal or conventional forms in animal model
A lot of researches have investigated the effects of topical cyclosporine A on the eye surface layers’ diseases. By now the main limitation in cyclosporine application is the low permeation of the drug into the posterior segments of the eye. The aim of present study was to formulate high permeable dosage form can be beneficial in the topical treatment of the uveitis. To reach higher corneal dru...
متن کاملAntidepressant Effects of Ketamine on Depression-like Behavior in Juvenile Mice after Neonatal Dexamethasone Exposure
OBJECTIVE Pediatric depression is associated with significant functional impairment at school and at work. Recently, we reported on depression-like behavior in juvenile mice neonatally exposed to dexamethasone (DEX) as a potential animal model for pediatric depression. The N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist ketamine has promoted rapid and long-lasting antidepressant effects in pati...
متن کاملAmeliorative activity of co-administration of ketamine and ECT on depression like behaviors in depressed rats
Background and Objective: Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is the end choice treatment for patients with major depressive disorder (MDD). Regarding researches that show NMDA receptor inactivation could yield the same results as anti-depressant drugs, however, the present study examined co-administration of ECT and ketamine (as NMDA antagonist) on depressed rat behaviors. Materials and Methods...
متن کاملHSP105 prevents depression-like behavior by increasing hippocampal brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels in mice
Heat shock proteins (HSPs) are stress-induced chaperones that are involved in neurological disease. Although increasingly implicated in behavioral disorders, the mechanisms of HSP action, and the relevant functional pathways, are still unclear. We examined whether oral administration of geranylgeranylacetone (GGA), a known HSP inducer, produced an antidepressant effect in a social defeat stress...
